FilmProject

It's been a pretty busy time these last months. There is a new major coming up in our school, vfx and animation major, my new term at animschool and a very cool project I'm working on!

On the workfloor, there were some proposals to promote our new major and they asked if I was interested to work on one. So I took the opportunity to start a project entirely from scratch, only the main idea was pitched. It's a simple Idea where we take a look at our industries work environment. It was based on a drawing that was made by one of our students: Jaron Huyzentruyt.

But I came to realize that the mood in the drawing was not what I was looking for. The idea had to be fun and inviting! And it just so happens that I work togheter with very talented people so I asked my colleague Lino Drieghe to help me with the drawing.
I gathered some reference pictures and created a main moodboard. It had to be simple, fun, cool and inviting. I was also thinking about a theme and drew some cute little creatures. (But I'm not going to spoile to much, it will be for the next post) And with all that information we ended up with a super cool environment!

This was a reall kickoff for the project!

And I'm having more colleagues helping with the project to get it done!

I really hope that I can get my vision of the project to a good end!

InvisibilityPotion

My 4th term at animschool has ended and I'm already in the middle of my studies.
I really had a hard time with term 4 and just couldn't crasp what my problems were, ...
except at the end ofc .... alwaysss at the end -_-

BUT I passed for the term and with the new knowledge I'm ready for the next!

This animation tells a story about a professor that is looking for his last ingredient for his SUPER AWESOME FORMULA!! He finally founds it and is ready to test it out immediately! And his formula works and he is soooo happy that because of his enthusiasm he bumps over his invisibility potion over his formula, ... and all is lost.

Teamwork

Some weeks ago our school organized a creativity week.
In my workshop we created a realtime racetrack!!
We had to work in a group of 20 students en we pulled it off!

If only my students were always so cooperative ...

MyBigBooty

I was finally getting the hang of sculpting and had a good result of a female sculpt.
But I was using the wrong clay... and eventually my big booty trew it over intro a 1000 pieces...

Congratulations to myself!

PaperFigures

We had a Christmas party with some friend and it was a blast!
Not only the company was crazy but the gifts were too!
It's funny to see what kind of gifts they all give, it's a little bit of them they give :)

This was my very first taste of a big project and boy did I sweat!
I learned about the hard industry and all the effort it took of a whole team to create a stunning short. It's a experience I'm proud to have been a part of.
